NPS Corpus Calculator

See how much you'll have at retirement based on your monthly NPS contribution, age, and expected returns.

What Is the NPS Corpus Calculator?

The National Pension System (NPS) Corpus Calculator projects how much retirement wealth you will accumulate based on your monthly contribution, current age, expected annual return, and the age you plan to retire.

It also shows the split you will receive at retirement — the tax-free lump sum you can withdraw, and the portion that goes into an annuity to give you a monthly pension for life.

Why It's Important

Retirement planning is one of the most neglected areas of personal finance in India — most people only start thinking about it in their 40s or 50s, by which point compounding has already lost its biggest advantage: time. Seeing your projected corpus early helps you decide today whether your current contribution is enough, or whether you need to start (or increase) your NPS investment now.

Example: Priya is 30 and invests ₹5,000/month in NPS at an expected 11% return till she retires at 60. Her projected corpus is over ₹1.5 Crore — of which 60% (~₹90L) is tax-free withdrawal, and the remaining 40% funds a monthly pension. Starting 5 years earlier, at 25, could have pushed this corpus up by 60–80%.
